Seeducation MD coaches President of AIESEC City
Introduction
Noam was asked to give help with a Speed Mentoring project, and coaching of the Mohammed Ad-Deen, the President of AIESEC City started. Leaders always face different challenges, and getting an external perspective alone can be a fantastic tool for finding solutions.
When someone is too deep into her or his own difficulties, it is hard to take the distance necessary to see the big picture, and as we get emotionally involved, it is hard to keep to the right decision.
The following is a testimonial from Mohammed sharing his experience of being coached by Noam. Thank you Mohammed for taking the time to share your experience.

Coaching with Seeducation's Managing Director by Mohammed Ad-Deen
For the past few months Noam has provided invaluable advice and guidance to me as I continue to embark on my Leadership Role, within AIESEC.
Having learnt of Noam from a previous team member, and now close friend and AIESEC Alumni, I contacted Noam to discuss ways of bringing in coaching and mentoring for AIESEC members in my committee.
Little did I know though, that even I would benefit from coaching, too.
Having been experienced in many different environments where I had to lead people, whether it was in for profit companies or local government organisations, the experiences and realities of this not-for profit organisations - AIESEC - were very different.
Prior to taking up my current leadership role, I was a vice president of External Relations, a new (or re-emerging) department in the AIESEC UK network. My time and experiences in this role were markedly different to my current experiences, making me realise that the word leadership varies in the eyes of those who follow.
Learning from Noam’s experience of training, understanding people, emphasising with situations, and last but not least, volunteering in the same organisation I am currently responsible within, where definitely invaluable.
Even whilst the current realities of the organisation I am working within are proving challenging, the coaching provided by Noam is helping me see the challenges in different lights.
Regardless of how experienced you are or how knowledgeable, coaching is an invaluable tool for deeper understanding of challenges in such a changing world.
- Mohammed Ad-Deen, President at AIESEC City
Coaching at your peek
Often I heard "everything is going well, I don't need support", or "I'm good at what I do so I don't need help"
If you owned a cheap car, you probably wouldn't bother with taking it to the mechanics very often: what's the point.
Now if you owned a Mercedes or a BMW, I can garantee that you would take it regularly to the mechanics (just in case), and you would look after it with much more care.
Imagine that you we are Formula 1 car driver. You would get your car checked every couple of laps... several times a day
The better the car you have, the more you look after it and give it the support it needs. Your body and your mind are just the same: a machine that needs regular checks.
The more you use your mind and body, the more support you need. If you want to function like a Forumla 1 and strive to become the best at something - it can be a skill, or a state of happiness - then a coach might just be the best thing for you.

There exists many forms of support that help you move further than you ever thought you would. We help you define your happiness, the passions you want to pursue and we hold you accountable to yourself for fulfilling your dreams.
It is important that you learn these habits when everything is going well: ones you go down and don't feel as good, - and we all do eventually -, then it is much more difficult to seek for help, support and to change. When times are tough, the last thing you want is to try something new and different... that is why coaching, mentoring and other forms of support like voice dialogue should be started now.
If you get support early enough, when things get bad, people will stick with you. Make sure you make the most of your good times o build the right relations to support you when you are in your down times.
Don't wait untill it gets too late!
How to get involved?
If you are a trainer, coach or give any other form of personal and/or organisational support, please get in touch with us and learn how you can contribute to the Seeducation network. Check our get involved page and fill in the form.
As Seeducation, the charity, we give free support to people who would not normally be able to afford it. Our number one criteria is that these people are working towards making the world a better place, and we give them free support because they are trying to have a positive social impact.
To be able to extend this kind of support to these rising stars, more funds will buy us time and resources. By making a donation, you are helping an emerging leader get the support needed to create social change.
